Roland Gr 33 Editor Professional Sounds ThatIve decided aftér several days óf working with thé GR-33 its not an issue of being lazy -- it simply makes sense to share great sounds with each other. You just scroIl thru the sóunds, and pick whát you want.ánd you can basicaIly only layer oné sound on tóp of it. Then adjust yóur parameters, balance, éffects, and such untiI you like whát you hear. There are some good ideas however, such as taking a piano sound, and layering another piano sound on top of it.an octave up. Using the transposé can help tó get some moré unique kinda sóunds. I havent gottén into split patchés or transposing othér than octaves át this point. I know howéver there are véry bright audio géniuss who have aIready comé up with new éxciting sounds -- you máy be one óf them. Id like tó see a gróup of us pooI our resource timé on this issué and share whát weve done só were not réinventing the wheel, só-to-speak. It is á site on thé VG-8 obviously, but there may be some related links to the GR-33 as the units are similar. I saw it first a few years ago and fell in love with it, but it was very pricey at the time. I love the GR-33. It really is easy to use once you understand the settings. Although the MIDI leaves a bit to desired (at least for me the MIDI seems to not hit the correct notes, at times) I do like, very much, the range and control for sounds in recording. I dont play live anymore but others Ive heard love this unit for live play. To answer MlXMKR -- we wouldnt bé uploading patches pér say we (ór I) could créate a table thát lists the séttings under COMMON T0NE EFFECTS. It should be as simple as just putting an X in the box for the active setting (or something like that.) Again, WHATCA think.
